Boughton Law's Class Action Practice Group has the skills, expertise, and commitment necessary to represent large plaintiff groups through complex class actions.
Class action legislation allows consumers who have suffered losses individually to sue major manufacturers and service providers as a group. Class actions help level the playing field between consumers and large companies, making it easier and less cost-prohibitive for individuals to challenge large corporate defendants.
Boughton Law’s Class Action Practice Group has years of experience representing plaintiffs in matters of product defects, pharmaceutical negligence, price-fixing, collusion, data breeches, and misrepresentations. Boughton Law has been counsel for plaintiffs in matters against the following defendants: VW, Bosch, Honda, BMW, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, RBC, CIBC, TD, Ticketmaster, BC Lottery Corporation, Apple, Samsung, Yahoo, Pfizer and Kraft.

Capital One Bank has announced that the highly sensitive financial and personal information of more than 100 million banking and credit card customers was accessed and stolen by an outside hacker. The Washington Post reports that the alleged hacker has already been arrested by the FBI.
Capital One Bank’s failure to protect this data is an unacceptable breach of customer trust, and Boughton Law is working to hold the bank accountable and to seek compensation for those affected. Contact us right away to find out if you are eligible to join a class action against Capital One.
At this time Capital One is denying that credit card numbers and online log-in information were exposed. The FBI says that the hacker intended to distribute the stolen information, and it is currently unknown if they were able to do so before being arrested.
Boughton Law commenced a Canadian class action against Canada Dry for making misrepresentations that are incomplete and deceptive to consumers. These misrepresentations are on the label of the beverage and also on commercials that were aired. The representation that their ginger ale beverage is “Made From Real Ginger” is literally true, but the ginger they are referencing is in fact ginger oleoresin, which is made from ginger root then processed in ethanol, and the trace amount of ginger oleoresin contains no medicinal properties.
