Last month, Luca Citton, president of Boughton Law and Chair of the Board for Meritas®, attended the 2025 Meritas Board of Directors Meeting and Firm Management Forum in Hong Kong. The event, hosted by Gallant at the Centricity in LANDMARK Chater House, brought together leaders from Meritas member firms worldwide for strategic discussions and collaborative sessions.

The Board of Directors meeting focused on key topics such as member survey results, strategic planning on how client insights shape the future of our network, and setting benchmarks for engagement and relationships within the network.

One of the key discussions led by Citton focused on strategies to make seamless cross border service possible. “Our priority is to ensure Meritas continues to deliver exceptional value through stro

Meritas Firm Management Forum: Adapting to Change

The Meritas Firm Management Forum, held over two days, provided a platform for managing partners and firm leaders to explore leadership and management issues in a rapidly evolving legal landscape. The sessions, facilitated by Patrick Fuller, covered a range of topics, from leveraging legal technology and artificial intelligence to effective strategies for law firm compensation and succession planning.

“With the legal sector constantly evolving, it is critical for our firms to remain agile,” said Citton. “The discussions at the Firm Management Forum offered practical strategies to navigate these changes, ensuring our firms remain at the forefront of the industry.”

The event also emphasized relationship-building, with joint networking dinners at the iconic Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Aria Restaurant, providing attendees the opportunity to connect and share insights in a more informal setting.

In closing, Meritas President Sona Pancholy and Vice President of Marketing Kim Heinrich provided a business update, highlighting new opportunities for member firms. “The strength of Meritas lies in our ability to collaborate and innovate together,” Citton remarked. “As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering these connections and delivering value to our clients through our global network.”
