We are currently looking for a second-year law student to join us for summer articles in 2019.
Who We Are
Boughton Law is a Vancouver-based law firm that offers a full range of legal services to the business community. Reflective of our West Coast roots, we strive to make the complex simple. Our goals are to deliver the highest quality legal work and service to our clients; to be accessible, efficient and responsive; to find practical and effective solutions; and to conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity.
At Boughton Law, we work closely together and strive to support each other. We expect you to work hard when there is work to be done, but at the end of a productive day we want you relaxing in our Lawyers’ Lounge, or enjoying the sun with other members of the Boughton Law team on a waterfront patio (assuming the sun ever comes out, of course).
Our Student Program
As a mid-sized firm, we are big enough to offer students excellent training from respected leaders in each area of law we practise. At the same time, we are sized in such a way that you will never get lost in the shuffle.
We believe you’ll learn best by doing what real lawyers do, not by spending your time locked away writing research memos. From the start, you will be given real file work with client responsibility and gain exposure to a wide variety of practice areas. In addition, business development and community involvement are two of our firm’s key values, and we encourage our students to participate in client marketing events alongside our lawyers.
Our students will be mentored by multiple lawyers and will have an opportunity to work with many lawyers across our diverse practice groups. It is our goal that our summer students will return to Boughton as articling students upon graduation from law school.
