Bruce Harwood is an immigration lawyer in Vancouver, B.C. who practices exclusively in the areas of immigration and citizenship. Bruce acts on behalf of a number of major Canadian companies in various sectors: biotechnology, engineering and manufacturing, food and agriculture, and the IT sector. As a former Officer of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, Bruce brings in-depth legal insights of all aspects of immigration matters.

Bruce represents both corporate and individual clients in a variety of matters under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the Citizenship Act and ancillary legislation such as the North American Free Trade Agreement, CETA, as well as provincially-based nomination programs. This work includes strategic and practical solutions for permanent residence applications as well as the temporary admission of executives, managers and specialized knowledge workers to Canada under the International Mobility program. Bruce also assists Canadian employers seeking to use Labour Market Impact Assessment to hire Temporary Foreign Workers.

Bruce’s Immigration and Citizenship practice also involves working with Boughton Law’s Tax and Employment Groups to provide a comprehensive assessment of a foreign national’s needs.
