Elan is an articled student at Boughton Law and has a keen interest in litigation.
Elan graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in May 2024. During law school, Elan spent a semester working full-time at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. She also had the opportunity to participate in the Laskin Moot, a national, bilingual moot competition with a focus on constitutional and administrative law. Elan has earned a reputation for being a skilled public speaker. Last year, Elan addressed Allard Law’s incoming class of 2026 as part of the orientation committee’s academic success panel. More recently, she was nominated as the student speaker for her graduation ceremony, where she presented gifts to the university on behalf of her graduating class.
Throughout law school, Elan was selected to serve as an Allard Law Ambassador, often acting as the first point of contact for prospective students. As an upper year student, Elan actively volunteered as a researcher for Pro Bono Students Canada and as an executive board member for Legal Education Outreach, an outreach program for high school students to learn about the law. Before obtaining her Juris Doctor (J.D.), Elan studied post-colonial literature through UBC’s Honours English program.
