Kaan D. Alkin

Kaan is an estate litigation lawyer focused on complex disputes involving estates and trusts. His long-standing interest in this area of law has shaped a thoughtful, client-focused approach to resolving sensitive matters, and he is committed to helping individuals and families navigate estate and elder law disputes with clarity and confidence.

With a background in science, Kaan brings a disciplined and analytical approach to litigation. He is skilled at developing well-structured cases and presenting complex legal issues clearly and effectively.

Kaan has experience litigating a broad range of estate and trust disputes, including wills variation claims, contested spousal status, undue influence and incapacity claims, unjust enrichment, breach of trust, abuse of power of attorney, contested gifts and inter vivos transfers, will interpretation applications, contested committeeships, executor and trustee accountings, compensation disputes, and applications for the removal of executors or trustees.

An active member of the legal community, Kaan currently serves on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association British Columbia, Vancouver Wills and Trusts Subsection.
