Kathy Barry

Manager - Library Services

Kathy Barry joined Boughton Law in 2015 as Library Manager. In this role, she is responsible for managing the firm’s print and online Library collections, delivering current awareness updates, conducting legal research, coordinating internal education seminars, and providing training on library resources for lawyers, students and staff. She also facilitates the development of knowledge management tools to effectively store and share the firm’s legal knowledge.

Kathy holds a Library Technician diploma from Langara College.  Prior to joining Boughton, she worked briefly at the Law Society of British Columbia where she developed a keen interest in the legal industry. She went on to support a library of a major Vancouver law firm for over 15 years.

She is an active member of the British Columbia Legal Management Association (BCLMA) – Knowledge Management subsection, Canadian Association of Law Libraries (CALL), Special Libraries Association (SLA) and Vancouver Association of Law Libraries (VALL).
