Since his first appointment as a member of the YVR Board of Directors in May of 2008, George has supported the Vancouver Airport Authority executive team in achieving their goal to create a premier global gateway. Being named #1 airport in North America for the fifth consecutive year by Skytrax World Airport Awards in March of 2014 proves that the Airport Authority is managing an airport that British Columbians can be truly proud of.
Congratulations to George for being part of this success story. Reappointed to his third term on the Board of Directors as one of two nominees of the federal government, George currently serves as Chair of the Governance Committee. In this role, George provides a focus on Board governance that will enhance corporate performance and makes recommendations that increase the Board’s effectiveness.
