James M. Coady Appointed King’s Counsel

James M. Coady of Boughton Law was amongst 39 lawyers to be appointed the honorary title of King’s Counsel by the Attorney General of British Columbia.

The King’s Counsel designation is provided to only 7% of all practising lawyers in British Columbia, usually after decades of community service and advocacy.

James Michael Coady is Managing Partner/President of Boughton Law Corporation with 30 years’ experience in civil litigation. He has represented the interests of First Nations, individual litigants and the Province. Coady started and mentors Boughton Law’s Indigenous Practice Group, which affords First Nations lawyers the opportunity to provide legal services to their own communities. His community commitments include service to Vancouver College High School, the Immaculate Conception School and coaching and mentoring of young athletes.

The lawyers and staff of Boughton Law congratulate him on his achievement.
