Luca Citton Elected as Meritas® Board Chair

Boughton Law is proud to announce the firm’s President, Luca Citton, has been elected as Meritas^® board chair. Citton will serve as chair-elect until the Meritas^® Annual General Meeting in May 2024, when his three-year term will officially begin. Citton was selected by the Meritas^® Chair-Elect Nominating Committee and elected by unanimous vote of the Meritas^® Board of Directors.

Citton’s extensive leadership experience within Meritas^® includes serving on the Meritas^® Board of Directors, Quality Assurance Committee, Member Engagement Committee, Canadian Management Committee, Strategic Plan Taskforce, and Board Nominating Committee. He currently leads the Meritas^® Global Firm Management Forum and the Canadian Management Committee. In these roles, he has been instrumental in creating and shaping a variety of Meritas^® initiatives that provide value to member firms and their clients.

Boughton has a long history of leadership within Meritas^®. Since joining the network in 1993, George Cadman, K.C., has served as Board Chair, and Jim Coady, K.C., also served on the board. Firm members regularly attend regional and practice group meetings, and Justin Park has recently joined the network’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (ELAB). Currently, the Chambers recognized network of 184 independent, full-service law firms boasts almost 9,000 lawyers in over 90 countries worldwide.
