In Memory of Rob Walls
It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of our dear colleague, friend, and teammate, Rob Walls. In late-March 2024, Rob passed away in hospital surrounded by family and friends. Rob had been with Boughton since 2007, leading the firm’s information technology team, as well as being the go-to person for all things ‘tech’.
An active member of the legal technology space, Rob served on the Board of Directors of the BC Legal Management Association (BCLMA), as well as acting as Regional Member Liaison of the International Legal Tech Association (ILTA). Always quick with a joke and perfect deadpan delivery, Rob was an unflappable resource for lawyers and staff alike, often navigating ‘IT emergencies’—no matter how small—with humour and efficiency. His family will be hosting a private celebration of life in May.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends, and greatest sympathy to all who are impacted by this tragedy.
