A Commitment to Community Through Rose Charities

At Boughton, community engagement is not an afterthought, it is part of how we measure impact. Through our Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT) program, we highlight organizations that are making tangible differences both locally and globally.

We recently connected with Counsel Karim Lalani to learn more about his involvement with Rose Charities, a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations locally and internationally. Founded in 1998, Rose Charities supports grassroots initiatives focused on education, healthcare, food security, and community development.

The organization’s recent impact speaks to the scale and depth of its work. In 2024 and 2025 alone, 526 students were supported through education initiatives, 272 scholarships and bursaries were awarded, and nearly 4,000 school supply kits were distributed. Beyond education, Rose Charities continues to strengthen communities through maternal care programs in Ethiopia, rural midwife training in Guatemala, and food support initiatives reaching thousands of children and adults.
