Donya practices corporate commercial, intellectual property, technology and entertainment law.
As part of her corporate commercial practice, she assists clients with asset and share purchase transactions, and advises on business structures, commercial contracts, shareholders’ agreements and corporate governance.
Donya’s entertainment law practice includes negotiating contracts for actors, directors, producers and crew and advising clients on corporate legal matters.
As part of her intellectual property practice, she advises clients on brand strategy and protection, trademark applications, cancellations, oppositions, infringement, passing off and unfair competition.
Donya also assists companies in the negotiation and drafting of technology related agreements, including software as a service agreements, licensing agreements, development agreements, information technology consulting agreements and privacy policies.
Donya worked in commercial and retail banking at one of Canada’s leading financial institutions for five years before joining Boughton Law.
Donya is fluent in Farsi.
