Madeline E. Benn

Madeline E. Benn is an associate in the Corporate group at Boughton Law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Madeline has extensive experience advising clients on share and asset acquisitions, managing complex transactions from initial due diligence through to closing. Her expertise includes drafting and negotiating key commercial agreements, such as shareholders’ agreements, asset purchase agreements, and intellectual property assignments. Madeline also plays a crucial role in coordinating with accountants and tax advisors to implement intricate corporate reorganizations.

Prior to beginning her legal career, Madeline earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Skidmore College in New York. At Skidmore, Madeline played NCAA tennis where she was a two-time All American and captain of her team for two years. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario in 2020. Madeline is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, called to the bar in June 2021, and the Law Society of British Columbia, where she was called in September 2021.
