Rachel Lum

Associate

Rachel is an associate at Boughton Law. Her practice is grounded in practical problem-solving, thoughtful analysis, and a commitment to delivering client-focused legal advice.

Rachel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and completed her final semester at the National University of Singapore. Before attending law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, where she majored in sociology and minored in law and society.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, Rachel worked for several years in both public and legal libraries, where she developed strong research and organizational skills and a commitment to promoting equitable access to information. Working with diverse communities and navigating complex information resources fostered a detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach that continues to inform her practice today.

During law school, Rachel served as Co-President of the Pan Asian Law Society and was actively involved in fostering community within the legal profession.

Before joining Boughton Law as an associate, Rachel summered and articled with the firm.
