    Tax effective corporate planning and reorganization are a staple of Boughton Law’s tax services, including with regard to estate freezes and intergenerational business transfers.  Hand in hand with these, our team regularly prepares and services planning involving professional corporations and trusts, such as Family Trusts and Joint Partner and Alter Ego Trusts.

    Boughton Law also assists with creating and implementing structures to maximize the tax outcome in the course of the sale of a business, including considerations and structuring for lifetime capital gains exemptions.  Our robust mergers & acquisitions, employment, and litigation teams operate to provide  a full complement of services for our business clients.

    The tax group at Boughton Law has  advised numerous First Nations in British Columbia and the far North involving hundreds of millions in  investment funds regarding  tax effective First Nation Trust settlements and related business partnership structures, as well as updating First Nation Trust structures to take full advantage of current tax interpretations by the government of Canada.
