Boughton Law launched the firm’s first website.

Meritas Board Chair
Boughton’s George E.H. Cadman K.C. is elected as Board Chair of the Meritas network.

Order of Canada
Boughton’s founding lawyer Leslie Peterson K.C. becomes a Member of the Order of Canada, in recognition of his public service as an elected official, as well as his contributions to the legal industry.

Bentall IV to Bentall III
The firm moves office in the Bentall Centre, shifting from Bentall IV to the Bentall III, occupying the 10th floor, as well as part of the 9th floor.

Firm Joins Meritas
Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson joins Meritas, the premier global alliance of independent law firms.
1990
Order of BC
Boughton’s founding lawyer Leslie Peterson K.C. is awarded the Order of British Columbia, for his service as an elected member of the legislature (1956 – 1972), where he served as Minister of Education, Minister of Labour, as well as Attorney General.

Hong Kong Office Opens
Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson opens a Hong Kong office.

Sun Life Plaza to Bentall Centre
Firm moves from Sun Life Plaza to the Bentall Centre in Vancouver, occupying the 24th and 25th floors of Bentall IV.

Boughton & Company and Yang, Anderson & Co. merge to form Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson.

James E. Boughton, K.C.
The firm mourns the loss of founding lawyer James E. Boughton, K.C. He passed away at the age of 65.
